International and National Competition: Member of the U.S. Junior National team.

2011-12 (Freshman): Swam tenth in the 200 back at Pac-12s, one of three Cardinal in the top-10 led by champion Maya DiRado, as Thayer swam 1:56.06... also 21st in the 500 free.. during the regular season was second in the 200 back in a dual with Cal... picked up dual wins in the 200 back and 100 back versus Pacific... was third in the 100 back versus Arizona to help the Cardinal beat the Wildcats... swam third in the 400 IM in a dual with Arizona State.

High School, Club and Personal Data: Swam four years of varsity at Ballard High, but graduated from King's High School... Ballard High finished fourth at the state meet in 2010... four-time state champion in the 100 back from 2007 to 2010, and the 2010 champion as a junior in the 200 IM, helping her earn swimmer of the meet honors... swam for Cascade Swim Club from 2009 to 2011... daughter of James and Patricia Thayer... has one older sister, Alex... major is undeclared.
