Elizabeth Flaherty enters her second season working with the Stanford swimming and diving programs as the director of operations. In her role, Flaherty manages the day-to-day management and travel for both Stanford’s men’s and women’s teams.
Flaherty joined Stanford from Florida State where she served as the director of operations for the Seminoles from 2019-2021. Prior to her stint in Tallahassee, she was an administrative assistant and swim coach from the Carmel Swim Club for a year.
From 2016-18, Flaherty spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Nova Southeastern while earning her Master’s degree in Athletic Administration. She coached student-athletes to 23 All-America honors as well as four national champions. She also arranged all travel for the Sharks and assisted with training and recruiting for the program.
A four-year letterwinner at Denison University, Flaherty served as a team captain in 2014-15 and was a NCAA Division III All-American during her career in Granville, Ohio. She earned her undergraduate degrees in athletic training and psychology.
