Chris Muscat joins the Cardinal for his second season as a volunteer assistant coach this fall.
Last year, Muscat helped the Stanford on its run to the NCAA title match. This year, he will be a full-time addition to the Stanford staff and looks to help the Cardinal in its quest for another Final Four berth.
At Stanford, he assists in practice and focuses his efforts on individual skill development and scouting. Muscat will also be in charge of video editing and analysis this season.
A Bay Area native, Muscat played volleyball at UCLA and graduated in 2001. He has coached junior girls for both Main Beach Volleyball Club and Vision Volleyball Club. Before making the transition to girls, Chris served as the head coach for the 18's team for a local junior boys club, Bay to Bay Volleyball Club.
Chris and his wife, Chrissy, are expecting a daughter this season.
