Mary Hambly joined the Stanford women's volleyball staff in August 2017 as the Director of Operations. Now in her fifth season with the team, she works closely with Stanford's external relations department, coordinates the team's travel, handles the accounting and program budget as well as assists with the team's community outreach efforts.
Previously, Hambly was an assistant coach at the University of Illinois from 2004-06, where she was also the recruiting coordinator. She served as the volunteer assistant coach for the Illini from 2006-08 and was the summer camp director from 2006-14.
Hambly played collegiately at Illinois from 1995-98, where she earned All-Big Ten and Academic All-Big Ten honors.
The wife of Stanford head coach Kevin Hambly, she earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from Illinois in 1999. She and Kevin have two children, Joseph and Maura.
