Russell Corbelli begins his second season as the volunteer assistant for the Stanford women's volleyball program in 2019.

In his first season with the Cardinal, Corbelli helped guide the team to its unprecedented eighth NCAA title. Stanford had six AVCA All-Americans, including AVCA Player of the Year Kathryn Plummer. The Cardinal went undefeated (20-0) in Pac-12 play - the first conference team to do so since 2003. 

Corbelli previously served as the volunteer assistant at Texas A&M in 2016. He is the son of longtime Texas A&M head coach Laurie Corbelli (1993-2017) and former Aggie assistant coach, John.

Corbelli was the head coach of the Texas A&M men's club team for the 2016-17 season and served as the head coach at Aggie Elite Volleyball Club in College Station from 2015-18. He also gained experience as a coach at the Texas A&M volleyball camps from 2013-17.

A native of College Station, Texas, Corbelli played for the Texas A&M men's club team in 2015 and 2016. He was twice named the SIVA Conference Most Valuable Player. He also played in the National Volleyball Association (NVA) Showcase in December of 2017, and was awarded Man of the Match against Lights Out VBC at the showcase. Corbelli also played for Austin Juniors Volleyball in 2012.

Corbelli graduated from Texas A&M in 2016 with a degree in agricultural economics with a focus in finance and real estate.
