Prior to Stanford

  • A 2015 graduate of Crook County High School in Prineville, Ore.
  • A four-year letterwinner in wrestling, also earned three letters in football
  • Captained his wrestling team as a sophomore, junior and senior
  • Two-time state champion at 220 pounds, becoming the only Crook County wrestler over 165 pounds to win more than one individual state title
  • Three-time Reno World Champion and Tri-Valley Champion
  • Named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the 2015 Tri-Valley meet and state tournament
  • Tabbed team MVP and Most Inspirational
  • Team won four district/conference titles and made four appearances at state
  • Team captured state titles in 2013, 2014, 2015, setting a national scoring record in 2014 with 405.5 team points
  • Team was nationally ranked by InterMat (22nd) and FloWrestling (25th) in 2015
