Jack Winter was named an assistant coach on February 27, 2023. Winter comes to The Farm following seven years as Lenoir-Rhyne University's Men's Soccer Head Coach.

"We are very excited to welcome such a bright young coach as Jack to our program," said Gunn. "Jack's experiences as both a player and a coach have shaped him into an effusive relationship builder. He will bring a great energy and positivity to the program, and will truly add to our environment in a very thoughtful and challenging way. Throughout the process, we really felt an alignment in ideals and ideas that should allow him to fit in with our staff seamlessly."

During his tenure at Lenoir-Rhyne, an NCAA Division II school in Hickory, North Carolina, Winter led the Bears to their first-ever South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship in 2018 and was named the SAC Coach of the year the same season. In 2022, he guided Lenoir-Rhyne to the third SAC Tournament Championship in program history and the first since 2006.

Winter's seven years in North Carolina also saw him lead the Bears to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances twice (2016, 2017 and 2021, 2022) and four of Lenoir-Rhyne's five NCAA Tournament appearances in program history. He also earned the program's second-ever win in NCAA Tournament play with a 3-1 victory over Tusculum in 2016.

Along with his team success, Winter has done well coaching individuals. He coached back-to-back SAC Players of the Year (Ismael Noumansana in 2016 and Ignacio de Goya in 2017). De Goya also was named a D2CCA Honorable Mention All-American in 2017, the sixth All-American honor for a Lenoir-Rhyne player in program history.

Winter led Victor Cascon to an SAC Offensive Player of the Year award, Dani Fernandez to SAC Defensive Player of the Year award in 2020-21, and Marcos Enriquez to the inaugural SAC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2017. In 2018, he also guided Carles Montoliu Lobo to the SAC Freshman of the Year award.

Winter's leadership has also helped his athletes excel in the classroom. Two of his players earned Academic All-American honors including Ruben Morillas, who was named a First Team Academic All-American in 2018. Under his guidance, Carles Montoliu Lobo became the program's first SAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year since 1992, earning the award in 2021 and in 2022.
