Stanford's Knowles Family Director of Men's Golf Conrad Ray announced the hiring of Oliver Rubenstein as the Cardinal's new Enlight Foundation Assistant Men's Coach in July of 2023. Rubenstein, who brings prior head coaching experience to the role, previously served as Assistant Women's Golf Coach at Augusta University.

Prior to Augusta, Rubenstein spent five years at Bethany College in Kansas where he was the assistant coach for one year (2017-2018) and then transitioned to head coach for four years (2018-2022) for both the men's and the women's golf programs.

During his time coaching at Bethany, Rubenstein won fifteen tournament championships between the men's and women's teams, including a team conference championship qualifying for the NAIA national championship with the men's team and an individual conference champion qualifying for the women's NAIA national championship and breaking the school record for the highest place finish with 21st. He helped the men's team become a consistently ranked top-25 team in the NAIA rankings and was voted 2022 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Rubenstein served as an assistant professional at Lees Hall Golf Club, in Sheffield, England, Dore and Totley Golf Club in Sheffield, England, and Rotherham Golf Club in Rotherham, England.

Rubenstein was a member of the Bethany College men's golf team from 2013-2017. During his time as a student-athlete, Rubenstein earned such honors as; team captain in 2016 and 2017, Dean's Honor Roll in 2014, 2016, and 2017, KCAC Champion of Character in 2015 and 2017, and was on the KCAC Championships all-tournament team in 2014-2017.

Rubenstein holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Health and Wellness with an emphasis in sports coaching.
