Stanford Softball Stadium

Coming in 2026

Stanford Athletics has officially broken ground on a new home for Cardinal softball, Stanford Softball Stadium. The project is expected to be completed in December 2025.

The upgraded facility will include significant improvements to both the fan and student-athlete experiences. Among the additions are private party decks, concessions and merchandise booths, and a second deck of seating to expand seating capacity from 829 to 1,347 seats, which includes new premium and terrace deck seating options.

For student-athletes, the new stadium will offer over 4,000 square feet of designated team space. Included in the plans are home and visitor locker rooms, a player lounge, athletic training facilities, video and meeting spaces, as well as on-site equipment and laundry facilities.

The Cardinal softball team will play home games in Stanford Stadium for the 2025 season, a campaign in which Stanford will shift its focus to establishing an identity in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

In the increasingly competitive world of intercollegiate sports, state-of-the-art facilities are necessary to attract prospective student-athletes and for current student-athletes to maintain their competitive edge.
