Kerri Walsh Named Pac-10 Player of the Week
Volleyball standout earns honor for second time this season.

STANFORD, Calif. - Junior outside hitter Kerri Walsh was named the Pac-10 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 19-25.
Walsh, from Saratoga, guided the Cardinal to three victories last week. For the week, she hit .396 with 59 kills (4.54 kpg), 45 digs (3.46 dpg), 18 assists and 11 blocks.
In the victory over No. 10 Pacific, Walsh recorded her fifth career triple-double with 24 kills, 17 digs and 10 assists. Also in that match, she went over the 1,000 kills mark for her career and now has 1,043 career kills. She hit .567 with 18 kills and 13 digs in the win over Arizona State, then added 17 kills and 15 digs in the win over No. 17 Arizona.
This is the second weekly honor for Walsh this season and fifth of her career. It was Stanford's 36th Player-of-the-Week honor all-time.
