Cardinal to Host the 4th Annual "Take a Girl to the Game" Day
Game will feature women's basketball taking on No. 10 Bruins.

STANFORD, Calif. - Maples Pavilion will be the place to see somegreat women's basketball action this Saturday, January 16 at 1:00 pmwhen Stanford hosts No. 10 UCLA. This game is designated Take a Girl tothe Game Day. The program, designed to promote the women's game to theyouth of America, allows all kids 12 and under to get into the game freewith an adult.
This year marks the fourth year of the Take a Girl tothe Game program and the first for Regal by Buick's involvement. Theprogram has grown from 30 schools in the first year to 112 schools in1993. This year the program will include 289 NCAA schools and isexpected to reach over 600,000 fans.
Regal by Buick, the OfficialCar of the Supercharged Family, Lifetime Television and the Women'sBasketball Coaches Association are proud to support the Take a Girl tothe Game program on a national level. This program was created andimplemented by Host Communications, Inc., a sports marketing andassociation management company with principle offices in Lexington, KY;Dallas, TX; and New York, NY.
