PULLMAN, Wash. - Freshman outside hitter Logan Tom (Salt Lake City, UT/Highland HS) had 16 kills, eight digs and eight blocks to lead No. 7 Stanford (5-1, 2-0) to a 15-3, 15-9, 15-4 victory over Washington State (5-3, 1-1) in Beasley Coliseum Friday night

Senior Kerri Walsh (Saratoga, CA/Archbishop Mitty HS) added eight kills and a match-high 15 digs. Walsh, a three-time All-American outside hitter, was playing middle blocker for the second consecutive night due to injuries to Jennifer Detmer (Thousand Oaks, CA/Thousand Oaks HS) and Tara Conrad (Torrance, CA/West HS). Freshman Ashley Ivy (Arlington, TX/Lamar HS), starting in Walsh's usual spot, had a career-high 11 kills and hit .381. Sophomore middle blocker Sara Sandrik (Pelham, AL/Pelham HS) added 10 kills, senior outside hitter Sarah Clark (Kamuela, HI/Hawaii Prep) had nine kills and 13 digs, and junior setter Lindsay Kagawa (Albany, CA/Albany HS) had 47 assists and 10 digs.

Adrian Hankoff had 12 kills and 11 digs for the Cougars and Kortney Jamtaas added 12 digs. Stanford out-hit Washington State .328 to .137 and also out-performed the hosts in aces (five to one), digs (62-46) and blocks (11-3).

Stanford continues Pac-10 play on the road Tuesday night against California in Berkeley. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m. with the match airing live on KZSU-90.1 FM.
