Men's Soccer Falls to Washington 1-0

Seattle, Wash. - The Stanford men's soccer team fell to the Washington Huskies 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Washington. The defeat was the first for the Cardinal in MPSF play.

The game remained scoreless for the first half. Washington got on the board with a goal in the 52nd minute when Wes Hart kicked in a cross from Bryn Ritchie. Senior goal keeper Adam Zapala made four saves on the night.

Washington outshot the Cardinal 13-11. They also took nine corner kicks to Stanford's six, and had 15 fouls to Stanford's 13.

Now 4-1-1 in the MPSF, 9-3-2 overall the Cardinal will remain at home next weekend to play California in their last conference game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7:30.
