Tucson, Ariz. - Senior outside hitter Kerri Walsh (Saratoga, CA/Archbishop Mitty HS) and freshman outside hitter Logan Tom (Salt Lake City, UT/Highland HS) posted 12 kills each to lead second-ranked Stanford (23-2, 15-1 Pac-10) to an impressive straight-game 15-8, 15-13, 15-11 victory at #18 Arizona (16-9, 10-6 Pac-10). The Cardinal move to within one-half game (equal in the loss column) of first-place UCLA (24-2, 16-1 Pac-10) as the team's split their season series. Stanford can clinch a share of the Pac-10 title with wins over Washington State and Washington at home next Thursday and Friday.

Junior middle blocker Jennifer Detmer (Thousand Oaks, CA/Thousand Oaks HS) had another big game for the Cardinal at the net with a match-high 11 blocks (three solos, eight assists) to go with nine kills. Stanford had 14 blocks as a team, marking the 18th time this season the squad has reached double figures in that category.

Junior setter Lindsey Kagawa (Albany, CA/Albany HS) had 39 assists, while senior outside hitter Sarah Clark (Kamuela, HI/Hawaii Prep HS) contributed eight kills and eight digs.

Walsh also had a match-high 16 digs, five blocks and a .500 attack percentage (10-2-20).

Arizona was paced by junior middle blocker Marisa DaLee (Phoenix, AZ/Moon Valley HS) and freshman outside hitter Lisa Rutledge (Vista, CA/Vista HS) paced the Wildcats with nine kills each.
