No. 17 Men's Soccer Defeats UC Santa Barbara 2-0

Berkeley, Calif. - The Stanford men's soccer team took the early lead in the 2-0 win over UC Santa Barbara in the first game of the Cal Adidas Legacy Classic.

Junior forward Corey Woolfolk led the Cardinal attack, scoring the first goal of the night in the 17th minute of play. Junior Luke Rust ensured victory with the second goal in the 24th minute.

This goal marked Woolfolk's fifth of the season, and gives him 16 points. Rust leads the Cardinal in scoring with eight goals and 18 points.

Senior goalkeeper Adam Zapala posted four saves, and recorded his ninth shutout of the year. Zapala now owns a goals against average of 0.78.

The tournament, hosted by Cal marks the end of Stanford's regular season. The Cardinal will take on No. 6 St. Louis tomorrow at 10 a.m.
