Stanford men's soccer ended their regular season of play with a loss to sixth-ranked St. Louis at the Cal Adidas Legacy Classic.
The Billikens scored twice in the first half, the first goal coming after only 10 minutes of play. The second goal was scored in the 44th minute. The Cardinal limited St. Louis to six shots on goal, and took eight themselves. Senior goal keeper Adam Zapala posted four saves, giving him a season total of 54. He also ended with nine shutouts and a goals against average of 0.84.
Junior forward Luke Rust led the team this season with eight goals and two assists for a team-high 18 points. Junior forward Corey Woolfolk ended the season with 16 points off five goals and a team-leading six assists.
The team holds an overall record of 12-4-2. Although the Cardinal has finished the regular season, the squad hopes to receive an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. Tournament selections will be announced Monday, Nov. 15.
