Women's Tennis Defeats California

STANFORD, Calif. - The fifth-ranked Stanford women's tennis team topped No. 7 California 5-1 this afternoon in Berkeley.

Doubles matches were not played this afternoon, as Stanford requested a cancellation due to a number of nagging injuries. Stanford improves to 18-2 overall, 4-0 in the Pac-10. The Bears fall to 13-3, 8-1 in league action.

Stanford will continue on the road for the remainder of the Pac-10 season, traveling to the desert to take on Arizona on Fri., April 9 and Arizona State on Sat., April 10.
