STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford's senior All-American Joel Kribel shot a four-under 67 in the second round and sits tied for first heading into the final round of the Cleveland Golf Southwestern Intercollegiate, held at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.

Kribel's two-day total 138 is good for a four-way tie at the top of the leaderboard. Texas' David Gossett, New Mexico's Joel Hendry and Washington's Troy Kelly also carded similar scores.

Sixth-ranked Texas leads the team competition at two-over 570. The Longhorns have a five-stroke advantage over No. 3 Houston. No. 9 Arizona State sits in third, while No. 20 BYU andNo. 25 New Mexico are tied for fourthh with 582s.

Stanford posted scores of 297 and 289 during the first two rounds, both held Monday afternoon. The Cardinal's score is 18 strokes over par, but only five shots away from the third-place Sun Devils.

Also scoring for Stanford was Jimmy Lee, who is in 25th place after recording a five-over 147. Junior Dusty Brett sits four strokes behind Lee with a 151, good for 37th place. Tylar Lunke is at 152, while Eric Dahlberg is at 159.

The final round will begin at 7:30 this morning off the first and 10th tees.
