CAMDEN, N.J. - The Stanford Men's Freshmen Four finished fourth in the IRA Grand Finals Saturday morning on the Cooper River in Camden, NJ. Stanford was narrowly edged-out for the bronze medal by a mere four-tenths of a second to Gonzaga.
As in the repechage, the Cardinal started quickly and were within a deck of Wisconsin and Boston University through 1000 meters. With 700 meters remaining, all three teams began their sprint. Wisconsin and BU rowed to a slight lead and Stanford assumed third place through 1500 meters.
