STANFORD, Calif. - Sophomore forward Sarah Dimson was nearly perfect while scoring 18 points in the first half, leading the Stanford Cardinal to victory over USC, 69-49, in Pac-10 action Thursday night at Maples Pavilion.

Dimson was six-for-six from the field and six-for-seven from the free throw line in the first half and finished the night with a career-high 22 points. She also recorded a double-double with 11 rebounds. Junior point guard Milena Flores turned it on after the break to score all of her 14 points. She added six assists and four steals to the winning effort.The Cardinal led by nine at half time, but the Women of Troy closed to within three early into the second half. Flores then scored six of Stanford's next 10 points to keep the Cardinal ahead for good.Senior center Adrain Williams led USC with 19 points and eight rebounds.USC has now lost the last 10 games between the two schools and hasn't won at Maples Pavilion in 12 years.

The Cardinal improves to 7-8, 3-1 in the Pac-10 while the Women of Troy fall to 6-8, 2-3 in the conference.

Stanford will remain at Maples to close out its three-game homestand vs. No. 10 UCLA at 1 p.m. on Sat., Jan. 16.
