STANFORD, Calif. - For the second night in a row, senior guard Regan Freuen posted 19 points to lead the Cardinal, this time to a 77-54 victory over Washington State Saturday night at Maples Pavilion.

The Cardinal began the scoring eight seconds into the game, as junior guard Milena Flores drove in for a layup, one of her 13 points on the night. Stanford took a 9-0 lead before the Cougars could get on the board.

Stanford took a 39-26 lead at intermission, after shooting 47 percent from the field.

The Cardinal also held WSU to a 27 percent shooting night, its lowest total of the season. Stanford capped the night by taking advantage of 14 Cougar turnovers for 18 points.

Sophomore forward Carolyn Moos posted her second double-double in as many games, contribuiting 16 points and 11 rebounds in the winning effort.

Jennifer Kerns came off the bench to lead Washington State with 17 points.

The Cardinal improves to to 15-10, 11-3 in the Pac-10. The Cougars fall to 10-14, 4-11 in league action.

Stanford will spend next weekend in the desert, taking on Arizona State on Thurs., Feb 25 at 7:30 p.m. (MST) and Arizona on Sat., Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. (MST). The Cardinal will close out the Pac-10 and regular seasons hosting the Oregon schools March 4 & 6.
