STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford (10-1, 4-0 PAC-10) breezed by Oregon (6-7, 0-5 PAC-10) with an easy 15-1, 15-1, 15-5 victory on Thursday at Maples Pavilion. The victory was the ninth straight overall for the Cardinal, who have also won 32 in a row and 82 of its last 83 matches at Maples Pavilion. Freshman outside hitter Logan Tom (Salt Lake City, UT/Highland HS) paced the Cardinal with 17 kills and a .577 attack percentage to give the Cardinal its 32nd straight home win.
Stanford now owns a 29-2 all-time record versus Oregon.
Stanford set a new season-high team attack percentage (.506, 46K, 7E, 77TA) in the victory, eclipsing the team's previous mark of .406 versus Washington on September 16. The Cardinal also held Oregon to an attack percentage of .000 (23K, 23E, 87TA), marking the second straight opponent to not hit for a positive percentage.
The Cardinal posted 10 team blocks, including a season-high-tying seven by middle blocker Tara Conrad (Torrance, CA/West HS). Conrad added eight kills as did sophomore middle blocker Sara Sandrik (Pelham, AL/Pelham HS).
Stanford was never challenged in a match that lasted just 1:03 as Oregon scored just two points in the first two games.
Junior setter Lindsay Kagawa (Albany, CA/Albany HS) added a match-high 38 assists.
Stanford hosts Oregon State on Friday (7:00 pm). The first 1,000 fans will receive Stanford volleyball magnet schedules.
