Santa Cruz, Calif. -- The Stanford men's volleyball team defeated UC Santa Cruz 15-9, 15-6, 15-8 yesterday at the West Field House in Santa Cruz, Calif. The Cardinal have now won five straight matches, including a win over California, which is a club team. Stanford improved to 8-7 on the year, while the Banana Slugs dropped to 2-9.
Junior Curtis Graham led the Cardinal in kills for the second straight match, recording 15 versus Santa Cruz on 26 attacks. Freshmen Paul Bocage and Kyle Strache also recorded double-digit kills, with 11 and 10 respectively.
Junior Josh Lukens added 38 assists and five digs in the three game sweep.
Stanford will return to action on Tuesday, March 21 when they travel to California to take on the Golden Bears at 7 p.m.
