The Stanford men's gymnastics team finished in fourth place at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championships held at the Air Force Academy in Colorado. The Cardinal compiled a team score of 226.000 for the meet, trailing conference champion Oklahoma's 230.675.
California finished in second place with a 230.625, while third place Nebraska concluded the team competition with a 228.225.
Jason Katsampes just missed breaking his season-high all-around score (57.025) by posting a 57.025 for fifth place. Katsampes won the conference title on the pommel horse with a 9.925, outdistancing three other gymnasts who posted scores 9.900. Katsampes also had top 10 finishes on the floor exercise (9.600), rings (9.700) and horizontal bars (9.700).
On the parallel bars, David Durante finished tied for first place with Derek Leiter of Nebraska with a 9.650. Durante's score of 9.650 tied his season-high score on the parallel bars.
