Stanford, Calif. - No. 2 Stanford women's water polo dropped to MPSF foe Cal 6-3 at home on Sunday, March 26. The Cardinal is 0-3 against the Golden Bears this season.
Cal took the lead early in the game, scoring two goals to Stanford's one. Stanford never caught up, scoring only two more goals in the game to Cal's four. Dani Bell, Anne-Marie Keenan and Julie Gardner each scored one goal. Freshman Jackie Frank defended the net for the Cardinal, and made 11 saves.
The Cardinal drops to 14-4, 5-1 in the MPSF. The Stanford water polo team will travel to Santa Barbara on March 29 to take on the Gauchos.
