Women's Golf Falls To San Jose State in Desert Dual

The Stanford women's golf team fell to San Jose State by seven strokes in the Stanford-SJSU Desert Dual at the PGA West Golf Course in La Quinta, Calif. The Cardinal shot 631 in the two round event that took place on Sunday, March 26, while San Jose State had a final score of 618.

Senior JaeJean Ro led all Stanford golfers with two rounds of 75 for a final score of 150 in the dual match. Georgina Simpson of San Jose State won the event with a even-par 144 (72-72).

Freshman Kim Rowton, coming off a second place finish at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational, finished tied for third with a 157 after a rounds of 82 and 75.

The Cardinal will return to action on April 7-9 at the PING/ASU Invitational at the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz.
