Women's Track Star Goff Seventh At Mt. Sac

AZUSA, Calif. - Stanford's Joy Goff placed seventh among 29 athletes during the two-day competition at the Mt. SAC Heptathlon Championships.

Goff finished with 4,937 points, only one point short of her career-best. Laura Widman of Seattle Pacific won the seven-event competition with 5,231 points. Goff was in 21st after day one (Thursday) but strong finishes in the long jump, javelin and 800 meters vaulted her in seventh place.

Goff's point total qualifies her for the Pac-10 Heptathlon Championships on May 13-14 in Eugene, Oregon.
