Women's Golf Finishes Fourth At Peg Barnard California Collegiate

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women's golfer junior Stephanie Keever finished tied for fifth place after recording a 77 on Sunday. She led the Cardinal to a fourth place finish at the Peg Barnard California Collegiate.

Junior Hilary Homeyer tied for 9th place with a second round of 76. Senior JaeJean Ro tied for 13th place with a round of 76 on the second day, and freshman Kim Rowton tied for 19th with a round of 79.

Stanford finished the day with a total of 609, seven back from first place. The Washington Huskies and USC Trojans both finished with 602, while the 3rd place UCLA Bruins ended the event with 608. Both the Huskies and Trojans, who ended yesterday tied for 2nd, were able to record a second round 300, the best mark of the weekend.

The Stanford women's golf team will be back on the links again on April 24-26 to compete in the Pac-10 Championships, held at Eugene, Oregon.
