Berkeley, Calif. - The Stanford women's water polo team defeated UCDavis 10-1 on Friday, April 21 at the first day of the Northern CaliforniaRegional Qualifier tournament. The win advances the Cardinal to thechampionship game on Saturday, April 22 at 2 pm, held at Cal.
Stanford's overall record for the 2000 season improves to 24-4. TheCardinal will play in the Championship game at 2 pm on Saturday, April 22,and will advance to the National Championships, held in Bloomington,Indiana May 5-7. Last season, Stanford fell to USC in the Championship game7-6 in five overtimes.
