Tempe, Ariz. -- The Stanford women's golf team is in fourth place after the second round of play at the 2000 NCAA West Regional tournament at the Karsten Golf Course. The Cardinal has a two-day total of 594 (297-297), which trails tournament leader Arizona by 14 strokes. Stanford entered the second round in third place.
Freshman Kim Rowton leads all Stanford golfers with a 146 (74-72) after two rounds of play. Rowton is in a tie for 13th place with seven other golfers and trails leader Miriam Nagl of Arizona State by seven strokes heading into tomorrow's final round.
Junior Hilary Homeyer is tied for 22nd place with a 150 (74-75), while juniors Stephanie Keever and Salimah Mussani are tied for 29th place at 150.
Senior JaeJean Ro rounds out the Cardinal golfers with a 151 for a tie for 41st place.
