An NCAA qualifier in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:21.28 ... She gained that time with a second place finish at the 2000 Pacific-10 Championships ... Also an NCAA qualifier in the 5,000 meters, but has elected to run just the 1,500 meters at the NCAA's ... Ran the third fastest time in Pac-10 history at 15:50.18 in the 5,000 meters at the Mt. Sac Relays (4/15) ... Her time qualified her for the NCAA's and exceeded the Olympic Trials standard ... Her time is a freshman school record, easily beating the previous best time of 16:01.03 in 1983 by Alison Wiley ... Stanford has enjoyed much success at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships ... Twenty-six Cardinal men's athletes have won NCAA titles dating back to 1921 when Flint Hanner won the pole vault (13-6 1/4), Glenn Hartranft won the shot put (50-0) and Clifford Hoffman captured the discus (148-4) ... Nine Cardinal women athletes have won NCAA outdoor titles ... The first Stanford athletes to win national titles were Ceci Hopp in the 3,000 meters (8:57.0), and Kim Schnurpefeil in the 10,000 meters (32:36.51) in 1982.

Gabe Jennings, who has the nation's top time in the 1,500 meters this year, led from start-to-finish to win the conference title in the 1,500 meters, only the second Stanford runner to win the 1,500 meters since the Pac-10 started sponsoring the race in 1976.
