NICKNAME
Everybody has always called me "D.P." ever since high school. No one in particular started it.

FAVORITE FOOD
I like the Enchiladas Verdes at Celia's Restaurant in Palo Alto.

FAVORITE MUSIC ARTISTS
Jay-Z and Enimen.

FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM
I like the Minnesota Vikings because Troy Walters, Kaili Wong and a lot of former Stanford guys play there. I like both baseball and basketball also but don't really have a favorite team.

BEST BOOK YOU HAVE READ
"If It bleeds, It leads" ... by Matthew R. Kerbel (a book about broadcast television news).

FAVORITE CLASS
The Broadcast Journalism class I had with professor Larry Bensky last year. I liked it because we learned a lot about the business by doing a lot of hands on assignments. We did a video project and also reported the news on the radio like as a reporter.

FAVORITE HOBBY
Playing cards ... spades ... play them on road trips ... one of the best on the team ... most of guys ... play a lot with Willie Howard when we don't have any thing else.

FAVORITE VIDEO GAME
I like both "Mario Golf" and "Mario Kart" on Nintendo 64. I usually play the games with Byron (Glaspie) and Riall (Johnson) in the residence halls. The games are pretty exciting and we're pretty competitive.

FAVORITE MOVIE
I liked "He Got Game" (with Denzil Washington and NBA player Ray Allen). The movie speaks a lot of truth to people about the recruiting and the way people treat you when you are an athlete and in the spotlight. Also, I would like to act someday. I think it is something that I would be good at. I have this desire to be in the spotlight.

FAVORITE TV SHOW
MTV's Real World. I haven't really watched Survivor that much. I like the Real World. My favorite Real World was the first one in New York, but I have liked them all.

FAVORITE ATHLETE
Vince Carter. He's really explosive. I like the way he carries himself on court. He has a lot of confidence.

FAVORITE NON-FOOTBALL ACTIVITY
Going swimming and to the beach.

ONE WORD THAT DESCRIBES YOU
Difficult. I don't like to lose, and I really don't like people to predict what I can or can't do.

IF YOU WERE GOING ON A ROAD TRIP AND COULD ONLY TAKE ONE CD, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU TAKE
I would take the pre-game CD that I make each year. I plan to make this year's CD sometime this week.

BEST VACATION OR TRIP YOU HAVE EVER TAKEN
I would have to say the last spring break in Cancun. It was a lot of fun with lots of people from different colleges having a good time.

OPPONENT YOU WOULD MOST LIKE TO BEAT
Notre Dame. It felt good to beat them last year, but I always want to beat them. I was in awe of them when I was a kid. Beating them is a measuring stick for people back home (in Michigan). It means you're doing all right.

HOW DO YOU PREPARE BEFORE A GAME? DO YOU HAVE ANY GAMEDAY SUPERSTITIONS
I play my pre-game CD and envision different plays in my head. I see myself doing good things, making great catches and breaking tackles. I also go over my assignments and make sure I have everything down.

IF YOU COULD PLAY ANOTHER SPORT AT STANFORD, WHAT WOULD IT BE
Basketball. I've played a few times with guys on the team in pickup games and they're really good. Justin Davis dunked on me this summer in a pickup game. It was the first time I ever got dunked on.

BEST THING ABOUT BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT STANFORD
I feel like at I am at the best university in the country. I take a lot of pride in representing Stanford on the field.

BEST PART ABOUT YOUR GAME
Toughness and ability to break tackles, which are sometimes odd for a wide receiver.

WHAT IS THE BEST SPORTING EVENT YOU HAVE EVER ATTENDED AS A SPECTATOR
The Michigan-Michigan State football game at Michigan during my junior year in high school. I grew up a Michigan fan but now I like Michigan State because a lot of the guys I played with or against in high school play at Michigan State.

SOMEWHERE YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN THAT YOU WOULD MOST LIKE TO VISIT
Barcelona. I heard it's a really fun town.

IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH A FAMOUS PERSON, WHO WOULD IT BE
I would like to go to dinner with Method-Man and Redman from the Wu-Tang Clan. They seem like they would be so much fun to hang out with.

WHAT DO YOU SEE YOURSELF DOING IN 10 YEARS
Hopefully, I will be working on some kind of sports show. I want to be a reporter and anchor covering sports. My big dream is to be a SportsCenter anchor, but I still have to work on my own phrases. My all-time favorite is still Keith Olberman's "From way downtown, bang!". I'll think of my own soon.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR ATHLETIC CAREER TO THIS POINT
It's from way back, but the most memorable moment I have ever had came in the sixth grade City hoop championships back home. My best friend hit the game-winning shot at the buzzer. We were total underdogs and everybody rushed the floor. It felt like we had just won the NBA championship.

MOST INFLUENTAL PERSON IN YOUR LIFE
My father. I wanted to be just like him since I was a little kid. He was a coach. I used to always go to the gym with him. That's when I first started playing ball.

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TO ATTEND STANFORD
To be honest, I didn't have any intentions of coming here. But I really liked the coaching staff. Coach Willingham was great. The guys also seemed more similar to me, and they seemed like the really cared that I came to Stanford.

WHAT IS SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF THAT FEW PEOPLE KNOW
I listen to 80's rock and roll, stuff like John Cougar Mellencamp. When I was younger, I used to always listen to that stuff growing up and know the lyrics. I've got some of this stuff downloaded on my computer. I'm going to make an 80's CD someday.

WHAT WOULD YOU WANT PEOPLE TO SAY ABOUT YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE STANFORD
I just want to be remembered. That's about it. I like people to know me by my face and not just my name.Don't know what I like.

HOW DID YOU SPEND LAST SUMMER
I worked out at Stanford for the first month of the summer. Then, I was the best man in a friend's wedding. It made me feel like I was kind of getting older, seeing one of my buddies getting married.
