STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Nicole Powell scored 13 points and had eight rebounds as No. 17 Stanford defeated Massachusetts 85-50 Sunday for its fifth straight win.
Lauren St. Clair added 12 points and Bethany Donaphin and Lindsey Yamasaki each had 10 for the Cardinal (5-1), who will play at No. 3 Tennessee following a two-week break for finals.
Kathy Coyner scored 10 points to lead Massachusetts (3-3), which lost its second straight. The Minutewomen, who shot a season low 28 percent, have lost twice to nationally-ranked teams this season.
The victory was coach Tara VanDerveer's 350th at Stanford. She has an overall record of 502-143 in 22 years, the last 15 at Stanford.
Stanford raced out to a 17-4 lead after 8 1/2 minutes, and led by at least 11 the rest of the way.
The Cardinal made 11 of their first 17 shots, including a 5-of-7 effort from three-point range.
Massachusetts missed 13 of its first 15 shots.
