CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Jamie Carey hit two 3-pointers as No. 24 Stanford scored 11 straight points late in the second half to beat Oregon State 58-54 on Saturday night.
The Cardinal (15-6, 8-3 Pac-10) trailed 50-46 before Carey hit her first 3-pointer. Milena Flores then had a steal and scored on a coast-to-coast drive for a 51-50 lead with 2:43 remaining.
After a miss by Oregon State, Carey hit another 3-pointer to make it 54-50. Carey also made two free throws with 22 seconds to play to cap the 11-0 run that made it 57-50.
Carey had 14 points and was 4-of-5 from 3-point range for the Cardinal (15-6, 8-3 Pac-10), who beat Oregon State for the 11th straight time. Flores added 10 points and seven assists.
Sissel Pierce scored 18 to lead the Beavers (10-13, 6-5). Pierce also had four blocks to tie former Olympian Carol Menken Schaudt's single-season school record of 69.
The victory kept Stanford tied with Oregon for second place in the Pac-10, one game behind Arizona.
