Eugene, Ore. -- The Stanford women's golf team made a push to repeat as the Pac-10 Champions as they moved into fourth place after the second round of competition at the 2000 Pac-10 Women's Golf Championships at the Eugene Country Club. The Cardinal has a two-day total 604, trailing first place Arizona by 11 strokes.
Freshman Kim Rowton finished the second round trailing leader Amanda Moltke-Leth of UCLA by only two-strokes. Rowton shot an even-par 72 in the second round for a two-day total of 147. Rowton had been tied for tenth place at the start of the second round.
Junior All-American Stephanie Keever and junior Salimah Mussani fell from tenth place and into a six-way tie for 15th place. Keever shot a 76 in the second round for a total of 151, while Mussani also had a 76 after her first round 75.
Junior All-American Hilary Homeyer shot her second round of 78 for a 156 total and a tie for 32nd place. Senior JaeJean Ro added three strokes to her second round total for an 80, placing her in a tie for 38th place.
Playing as an individual, junior Lauren Robertson sits in 26th place after shooting two rounds of 77 for a 154 total.
The final round will begin tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.
