Women's Crew Sweeps Sacramento State And Santa Clara

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. - The Stanford University women's crew team prepared for next week's prestigious San Diego Crew Classic with impressive home victories on Saturday morning at Redwood Shores.The Cardinal women swept all four races with Sacramento State, after being swept by the Hornets last season.

The Cardinal defeated the Hornets in the varsity eight and second varsity eight races. Coach Aimee Baker's squad also captured wins in the novice eights and novice fours.

Next week, the Cardinal travel to the 27th annual San Diego Crew Classic, which is the second-largest rowing regatta in North America and features some of the top collegiate teams in the nation.
