Four Women's Golfers Pick Up Pac-10 All-Conference Honors

Four Women's Golfers Pick Up Pac-10 All-Conference Honors

Stanford, Calif. - Seniors Hilary Homeyer and Stephanie Keever were named first-team 2001 All-Pac-10 Conference selections at the conclusion of the Pac-10 Championships held in Tempe, Arizona earlier this week.

Keever tied for fifth at the championships while Homeyer tied for 25th. Both golfers have enjoyed a very successful run while at Stanford. Both golfers participated on the 2000 U.S. Curtis Cup team and the U.S. World Amatuer teams this summer. They are both three-time All-Americans during their stint on the Farm. Keever has notched six top 10 finishes this season while Homeyer has four.

Freshman Angela Rho was honored as a second-team All-Pac-10 selection after a solid frosh campaign on the links. Rho tied for 15th at the championships and has seven top 25 finishes in 10 tourneys this season.

Fellow frosh Kim Kouwabunpat was an honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection and finished tied for fifth at the championships - her top finish of the season. Kouwabunpat has two top 10 finishes this season.

Arizona's Lorena Ochoa was named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year while Cal coach Nancy McDaniel was honored as Coach of the Year.
