BERKELEY, Calif. - Three different Cardinal players scored as No. 14 Stanford used a balanced offensive attack to defeat No. 11 Cal State Fullerton 3-1 Sunday afternoon in the adidas Cal Legacy Classic in Berkeley, Calif.

Stanford (4-0-0) notched its fourth straight victory, as the Cardinal outshot the Titans 19-8. Freshman Matt Janusz got the Cardinal on the board early , scoring at the 6:40 mark. Cal State Fullerton's Sean Guidice would even the score at 1-1 when he connected off a Brian Treat assist in the 23rd minute.

Senior Lee Morrison would then break the 1-1 deadlock with a header at the 29:44 mark, giving the Cardinal a 2-1 advantage to round out the scoring in the first half. Juniors Todd Dunivant and freshman Darren Fernandez combined to assist on the go-ahead goal for Stanford.

Todd Dunivant would later add another score for the Cardinal, converting on a penalty kick in the 51st minute.

Stanford netminder Andrew Terris recorded five saves on the day, while Cal State Fullerton goalkeeper Jeff McKeever notched ten.

The victory also marked the 100th of Stanford head coach Bret Simon's career. Simon, who is in his first season, compiled a 96-26-9 overall record in six seasons at Creighton.

Stanford will be on the road again this weekend, as they travel to Dallas, Tex., to compete in the SMU Nike Classic. The Cardinal will battle Florida International on Fri., Sept. 14 at 3 p.m. in their first tournament contest.
