Bremerton, Wash. - The Stanford men's golf team completed play in 10th-place at Husky Invitational hosted by the University of Washington on the Gold Mountain Golf Complex this afternoon. Senior Philip Rowe (Cornwall, UK) tied for ninth-place for the Cardinal with a 54-hole score of four-over 220.
Stanford recorded a team score of 1136 to finish in 10th-place. Washington won its tournament with a 1099, followed by Washington State (1106), Nevada (1109) and Pepperdine (1113).
Washington's Gordy Scutt posted a final-round score of 70 to win medalist honors and lead Washington to its first win at the event. Scutt finished with a 54-hole score of 5-under 211. Stanford's Rowe carded 73-71-76 for the tournament, followed by Blake Mastalir (Englewood, CO) scores of 75-69-78. Mastalir finished tied for fifteenth, and a 54-hole score of six-over par.
Jim Seki (Honolulu, HI) carded a tournament score of 228, 12-over par, while Ron Won (Irvine, CA) also recorded a 12-over par 228.
Stanford will next hit the course on Oct. 5 and 6 at the Fresno State/Lexus Classic on the Sunnyside Golf Course.
