Women's Crew Turns In Strong Performance In Boston

BOSTON, Mass. - The Stanford women's crew team opened their fall season Sunday afternoon at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass., with a 13th place overall finish and a time of 16:56.

The Cardinal finished 13th in the overall race and 11th among the 54 collegiate teams that participated. The impressive showing marked a strong start for Stanford, as each of the other top 13 teams all qualified for NCAA's last season.

The lineup consisted of Coxsawin Wendy Hoeveler, 8 seat Sabrina Kolker, 7 seat Melissa Haury, 6 seat Marlayna Tuiasosopo, 5 seat Claire Phillips, 4 seat Molly Loeb, 3 seat Megan Burritt, 2 seat Amy Guy, and bow seat Laurie Benson.
