Pacific Head Coach Brain Kolze
Opening Statement: It's great to be playing on Sunday, it's great that our seniors are missing graduation because that was their goal last year when they saw last year's seniors graduate. It was a great game, it was as good as yesterday, the bottom line is we were able to get the hit today. Estee (Okumura) came through with a big hit, Erica (Reynolds) started a huge inning for us moved it around put the ball in play and we had Estee coming through. I can't say enough regarding the timely hitting to get the three runs. Great job on the mound again by Jen (Dacre), her first start ever - in the postseason. Some very important innings for our pitching staff, for her to get out their and get five strong innings in and Cindy (Ball) to come in and change the pace again and getting them out and finishing strong. Just a great win for our players and our program.

Pacific Player Estee Okumura
Q. Before your big hit you were 0 for 6, what was going through your mind, was that the biggest hit of your career?
A. Probably the biggest, not the prettiest. I just tried to be relaxed, my teammates were there supporting me no matter what. I could hear the fans, everyone I knew they believed in me and I knew I could do it, I had to believe in myself and somehow some way I found a way to do it.

Pacific Player Jennifer Dacre
Q. How did you feel with your first start coming in a game like this in the postseason?
A. I came into the game knowing it was a big game but I was just trying to tell myself that its just like any other game, I didn't want to get too nervous or anything, I just went in, and threw my pitches.

Pacific Player Erica Reynolds
Q. Can you talk about being a senior and also hitting that big double to start off the sixth inning?
A. First, being a senior and graduating: all season I knew I wasn't going to graduate on stage and I was prepared not to be there. Just thinking that we might be there tomorrow, I wasn't ready for it - I'm just so happy that we're playing tomorrow. My double: I hadn't really hit all weekend, but I'd seen the ball real well. Every time I hit it I'd hit right to someone and I just went in there with confidence and concentrated on the ball and I did it.

Nebraska Head Coach Rhonda Revelle
Opening Statement: Other than the game this is just a tough time of year, unfortunately for us I feel like this talk came a little bit sooner than we would have liked it to. It's a very disappointing loss, our kids worked hard. [Pacific] got runners on base and capitalized, and we were just unable to do the same, I guess it was their day to take this one.

Q. It seems like you were struggling with leaving runners on base...
A. We've struggled a little bit lately, probably over the past 12 or 14 games with coming up with key hits. Yesterday we worked to manufacture runs, I felt like today when we had the bases loaded with one out we would be able to make something happen but we weren't able to capitalize. It's tough - you put a lot of pressure on your defense and your pitching when you have opportunities and you leave runners on base. We struggled and I think we were better a little earlier in the season at doing that.

Nebraska Player Leigh Suhr
Q. Was it hard to come back after the loss to Stanford today?A. I wouldn't say that, we had something that we were going for. We had to come back. It might have seemed like it because we put a lot out there against Stanford. We came back with a mission. It just didn't happen.
