Santa Barbara, Calif.- No. 11 Stanford men's gymnastics (4-7) finished in third place at UCSB today with a 206.675, falling to No. 2 Illinois (213.625) and No. 7 California (212.200) but defeating No. 16 Santa Barbara (203.700). Cardinal senior Dave Durante took third place in the All-Around with a 53.050. The Cardinal's 206.675 is its second highest mark of the season.
Junior Marshall Erwin claimed first on rings with a meet-high 9.775. Durante took third on rings (9.300) and second on pommel horse (9.400) and sophomore Dan Gill took second on the floor exercise, posting a 9.150. Senior Cade Raggio rounded out the top Stanford performers, snagging third on vault with a 9.250.
Stanford will return to action on Friday, March 1 in Colorado Springs to take on Air Force. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. (MT).
