STANFORD, Calif. - Second-ranked Stanford (10-1) increased its winning streak to three with a 7-0 home win over 47th-ranked Arizona (7-5) on Friday afternoon at the Taube Tennis Center.
The Cardinal, which has dropped just one point during the three-match winning streak, rolled to the victory by winning five of the six singles matches in straight sets.
At No. 3 singles, Stanford junior Ryan Haviland (Aiken, SC/Sumter HS) dropped the first two games of the match but came back to win 12 of the final 14 to turn back Tom Lloyd 6-4, 6-0.
