The Pacific-10 Conference honored ten former coaches and student-athletes with their induction into the Pac-10 Hall of Honor during the 2002 Pac-10 Tournament (Mar. 7-9) ... Those individuals inducted included Hank Luisetti (Stanford), Sean Elliott (Arizona), Byron Scott (Arizona State), Pete Newell (California), John Dick (Oregon), Gary Payton (Oregon State), John Wooden (UCLA), Bill Sharman (USC), Bob Houbregs (Washington) and Craig Ehlo (Washington State) ... A three-time All-American and two-time College Player of the Year, Luisetti revolutionized the game with his one-handed shot during the 1930's ... Luisetti is a member of the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame and the Citizens Savings Foundation Basketball Hall of Fame ... Luisetti is the owner of the oldest school record in Stanford basketball history, as he tossed in a school-best 50 points in a 92-27 victory over Duquesne on Jan. 1, 1938.

Starting the season, Besecker was 100 percent healthy after missing all but five games last year with food poisoning ... However, Besecker missed seven games after suffering a sprained right ankle in practice (12/21/01) ... Returned to action with three points and two rebounds against Washington (1/19/02) ... Besecker was a hard-working athlete with great enthusiasm for the game ... Played his first game of the season with four minutes of action against Belmont (12/18/01) in the first round of the Stanford Invitational.
