Stanford redshirt freshman placekicker Michael Sgroi connected on a 45-yard field goal in the first quarter, which tied a career-high. Sgroi, who was wide left on a 40-yard attempt in the second quarter, is now 3-of-5 from beyond 40 yards this season.Quarterback Chris Lewis moved into a tie for ninth place on the Cardinal's all-time list for touchdown passes. Lewis now has 25 career TD passes to tie both Mike Cordova (1973-76) and Randy Fasani (1998-2001). The redshirt junior quarterback threw a 12-yard touchdown to tight end Alex Smith in the first quarter.Stanford quarterback Chris Lewis' 26-yard run on the Cardinal's first drive of the game was the longest of his career.Stanford redshirt sophomore tight end Alex Smith had career-highs in both receptions (eight) and receiving yards (120). The 120 yards was the most by a Cardinal tight end since Tony Cline had 120 yards on 11 catches on September 18, 1993 vs. Colorado.Arizona's Bobby Wade had three returns for 122 yards in the first half alone --- one kickoff return for 64 yards and two punt returns for 58 yards.
