Los Angeles, Calif. - Stanford diver Adam Peterson finished second in the three-meter event with a score of 477.00 on the first day of the Trojan Diving Invitational on Thursday at the McDonald's Swim Stadium on the USC campus. Teammate Gavin Olmstead finished third (450.85) to help the Cardinal claim two of the top three spots in this event.
USC's Ray Vincent won the three-meter event with a winning total of 518.95.
Stanford's Jeff Durbin took ninth in the semifinals with a total of 349.45.
Friday's events will feature women's 3-meter springboard and men's 1-meter springboard. Saturday's events include men's and women's platform. Competition begins at 10 a.m. each day.
