Cardinal Women In 14th After Second Round Of Regional Challenge

Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. - The Stanford women's golf team shot a 326 today at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge to bring their two-day total to 637 and are currently 14th overall on the leaderboard. Pepperdine remains in first (598) with Southern California (603) in second. Rounding out the top five are Arizona (606), Oklahoma State (607) and UCLA (608).

With rainy and cool weather prevailing, Cardinal Wendra Liang shot the day's only hole-in-one on the 15th hole. Only two players have recorded a hole-in-one during this tournament.

Senior Kim Rowton leads the team with a 153 (75-78) and is tied for 18th. Junior Angela Rho shot an 82 (+11) on the afternoon and is currently tied for 35th (75-82--157). Marcia Wallis carded an 81 (+10) today to bring her two-round total to 163 and is tied for 62nd. Freshman Stephanie Lue shot an 85 (+14) and is tied for 70th (80-85--165) while teammate Wendra Liang shot an 88 (+17) and is tied for 81st (81-88--169).

Pepperdine's Katherine Hull remains in the lead individually with a two-round total of 144. Arizona's Erica Blasberg UCLA's Charlotte Mayorkas are tied for second (145). Pepperdine's Lindsey Wright (146) is fourth. Four athletes are tied for fifth.

Final round action will begin tomorrow with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. at the Palos Verdes Golf Club. Live scoring will be available online at www.golfstat.com
