Two Cardinal Gymnasts Advance to NCAA Event Finals

Philadelphia, Penn. - The Stanford men's gymnastics team continued its participation in the NCAA Championships, held at Temple University. Saturday's events consisted of team championships and the finals for the All Around competition.

Junior Dan Gill notched an 8th place finish in the All Around competition with a score of 53.525. Gill advanced to tomorrow's finals in the floor exercise and on the vault.

Senior Marshall Erwin - the 2002 individual champion on the rings - advanced to the final with a score of 9.725 on the rings.

The 2003 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships conclude on Sunday, April 13, with the event finals. The top eight finishers and one alternate from each event in Saturday's competition advanced to Sunday's 2:00 p.m. finals.
