Lincoln, Neb. - Stanford women's gymnast Lindsay Wing (Cypress, TX) took ninth on the balance beam in the event finals at the 2003 NCAA Championships at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Neb., on Saturday night. Wing suffered a disappointing fall on the apparatus as the Cardinal's lone competitor on the evening.

UCLA's Kate Richardson captured the beam title with a 9.938, followed by Richelle Simpson of Nebraska with a 9.925 score. Wing finished ninth with a 9.338.

Earlier in the day, Wing earned First Team All-American honors on beam for her second-place tying performance of 9.900 in Thursday's session.
