Cardinal Women Tie For Ninth At ASU/PING Invitational

Tempe, Arizona - The Stanford women's golf team shot a 302 in the final round of the ASU/PING Invitational in Tempe, Arizona to finish tied for ninth overall with a three-day score of 911. California won edged Texas for the tournament title by one stroke with an 876. Rounding out the top five were UCLA (878), Southern California (879) and Arizona (886).

Junior Kim Kouwabunpat led Stanford individually, tying for ninth with a four-over par 220, after firing a par 72 today. Senior Kim Rowton tied for 44th with a 229 (78-75-76) while teammates Angela Rho and Kelly Husted finished tied for 53rd with a 231. Freshman Stephanie Lue, competing as an individual, tied for 71st overall, carding a three-round total of 237. Sophomore Wendra Liang tied for 77th with a 240 for the tournament.

UCLA's Charlotte Mayorkas took top individual honors after posting a seven-under par 209. California's Sarah Huarte finished four strokes back (213) to take second while Washington's Louise Friberg placed third with a 215. Rounding out the top five individuals were Kailin Downs, from New Mexico, with a 216 and Janice Olivencia, from Texas, with a 217.
